Overview

Leadership Development and Top Team Alignment

Outside the Wire has been strategically designed to support government, non-profit and for profit organizations regardless of structure, prior performance or dynamics. Whether you’re an individual, have a small team, or are a part of a Fortune 500 company, this training will allow you and your team to work stronger in your professional roles.

Think about what your team could achieve if your staff collaborated and operated like a well-honed military unit. Mirroring the cognitive and emotional training once reserved exclusively for highly-trained soldiers, we make this unique development environment accessible so that your leaders and teams can become:

☐ More appreciative of individual strengths and able to leverage the team’s capabilities across the organization.
☐ Quicker to assess changing situations and develop adaptive strategies.
☐ More resilient—trained to emerge stronger, more effective, and more aligned than before.
☐ Accountable for, and more strongly committed to, their decisions in the midst of ambiguity.
☐ More agile, cohesive, and communicative as they work toward common goals.

BY ATTENDING OUTSIDE THE WIRE ATTENDEES WILL

Become a more self-aware, accountable, and emotionally intelligent leader.

Apply effective individual and team learning processes.

Apply team building theory and tactics.

Practice proven personal and team resilience techniques.

Increase leadership self-confidence by learning and applying new skills in novel and challenging situations.

The Experience

Individual & Team Leadership Transformation

Three weeks leading up to the event, participants complete the pre-reading package and participate in a series of introductory, facilitated online discussions.

The 2-1/2 day (3 nights) field training event at the Zero-4-North training facility in Brockville, Ontario will combine classroom and outdoor presentations, discussions, and hands-on activities to reinforce each aspect of the leadership theory. Individuals will be introduced to several basic outdoor/military skills which will then form the basis for culminating team activities. Coaching, structured feedback, and personal and team reflection are built in throughout. A “regimental mess dinner” and two keynote speeches are incorporated into the training camp.

Post Field Training Event, two weeks of facilitated, asynchronous, online discussions.
